At Xplornet, we strive to provide you with the best possible experience while using your Xplornet services. As part of our commitment to offer you the most up-to-date service available, we will be upgrading our Home Phone network between November 17, 2016 and November 21, 2016.

Some of the changes you will see with this upgrade include:

  • 911 services will now include an account time zone and improved access speed
  • New three-digit abbreviated dialing telephone number functionality (also known as N11):
    • 211 – Provincial government information services
    • 311 – Local municipal government information services (non-emergency)
    • 511 – Road conditions / traffic advisory
  • Star codes:
    • Instead of requesting how many rings occur before voice mail, 4 rings will be the default
    • *55 – call trace is now available
      • This feature allows you to request an auto-trace of the phone number of the last person that called, and to flag it if it’s unwanted or harassing call
  • MyXplornet will contain more details in the Call History section
  • Our Customer Care team will use all upgrades to service your account quicker and more efficiently
