Everything you do online uses data, including streaming movies on the popular video service Shomi. We’ve prepared this simple guide below to help you manage the video quality settings for Shomi so you can use less data and enjoy more of the movies and TV shows you love!

Step 1: Go to shomi.com
Step 2: Sign in to your Shomi account
Step 3: Click on your profile’s icon in the top right hand corner (the default icon is a director’s chair)
Step 4: From the drop-down menu that appears, select Manage Account and Profiles
Step 5: From the profile screen, select one of three quality settings. According to Shomi’s own help section:
- Good – Uses a max of 0.7 GB per hour
- Better – Uses a max of 1.7 GB per hour
- Best – Uses a max of 2.6 GB per hour
According to Shomi, “good or better is a perfectly acceptable video quality”, and will help you conserve your Xplornet data so you can do more of what you love online.
