Why am I unable to send or receive certain emails with an
attachment?
Certain emails with attachments cannot be sent or received for
two reasons.
- Using Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 20
megabytes (MB) total (including attachments). Any message sent to
you that exceeds this limit will not be delivered to your
recipient's inbox and will be returned to the sender.
- As a security measure to prevent potential viruses, Xplornet
Mail powered by Google Apps does not allow you to send or receive
executable files (such as files ending with .exe) that could
contain damaging code. These types of files will not be allowed
even if they are sent in a zipped (.zip, .tar, .tgz, .taz, .z, .gz)
format. If this type of message is sent to your address, it is
returned to the sender automatically.
