What are the major differences between Xplornet's existing
Webmail service and Xplornet Mail powered by Google Apps?
The major differences are as follows:
- Gmail offers a mailbox size of over 7 GB
- Gmail enhances security by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
encryption
- Gmail uses a minimum of eight characters for passwords
In Gmail, folders are replaced by labels. Labels provide the
same functionality as folders and give you an added bonus: you can
add more than one label to a conversation. Once you have created a
label, you can view all messages with that label by searching or
clicking on the label name (located on the left side of any
Xplornet Mail powered by Google page). Also, in Gmail, emails are
organized into threads, which means that all replies related to an
email are organized under one thread. You can also make emails easy
to find by using stars.
