I am using an email program other than Thunderbird, Apple Mail,
Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail, what should I
do?
Due to the number of email programs that are available in the
market today, we are not able to provide step-by-step directions
for all of them. We have only provided step-by-step instructions
for the five email programs that are most commonly used by Xplornet
customers. However, Gmail provides more information and
configuration specifications at

The following table lists POP port and server settings that you
can use to configure other POP-based email programs.
- E-mail address: Username@xplornet.ca
- Incoming Mail (POP3) - pop.gmail.com
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) - smtp.gmail.com
- My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication = true
- This server requires a secure connection (SSL) = true (both
incoming and outgoing)
- Outgoing mail port = 465
- Incoming mail port = 995
